2010 Schedule Change:

For the first time ever, Quiz Bowl in 2010 at the National SkillsUSA Competitions will run as a ONE DAY CONTEST.

  • Orientation will still occur on Tuesday, with the written test worth 20% of the team score given after the orientation remarks and question-and-answer session.
  • Round One will still occur on Wednesday morning, with the active round worth 80% of the team score.
  • The Final Round will now occur Wednesday afternoon, with call-backs posted by 1 PM and Finals beginning by 2 PM in two of the same rooms used for the morning rounds.
  • Quiz Bowl will end Wednesday afternoon in time for the new Opening Session, which happens at 6 PM.

Résumés are required from all contestants on each team.  Each member of the team must bring one copy of a current résumé to the Orientation Session or one point per missing résumé will be deducted from the score.  To protect student identities, Quiz Bowl will accept generic résumés, substituting Any Student and Any Address for actual information.

Use  http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates for acceptable format ideas

Also, pencils are required for all contestants on each team.  Number two lead is required for the written test.   Any writing instrument is acceptable for the Active Round.   Failure to bring a pencil to any session can result in a penalty, since it is required equipment.
